Ketan Patel Executive Managing Director was educated in London. He started his audit training in a London based West End practice before moving to Touche Ross & Co (now Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited). After leaving Touche Ross & Co he started his practice in 1990. Ketan deals in all areas of general practice and specialises in media, the medical profession and the construction industry. He also deals with complex tax issues including incorporation and IHT planning.
Priyanka Patel Director having trained in the practise since joining the ACCA, our youngest qualified ACCA member has worked her way up to being an audit director. She deals with audits and accounts, specialising in media, construction, medical professionals and hospitalities. Mergers and acquisitions.
Gavin Freemantle was educated in London before joining the firm as a trainee. He qualified as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1973 and became a partner in 1979. Gavin deals in all areas of general practice and specialises in the provision of services to the legal profession, charities and the provision of financial services to schools.
Philip Samuel gained fifteen years of experience in a variety of roles for small Chartered practices before setting up Campbell & Samuel Ltd which was based in West Ealing. Campbell & Samuel has now merged with Merchant & Co.
Tudor Grashoff graduated from the London School of Economics, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte Haskins & Sells and then spent four years as a tax specialist with Touche Ross & Co.
Subsequently, he became Group Financial Controller of a business and in his later years there his role changed to become purely commercial, giving a valuable insight into running a business. He founded Grashoff & Co in 1996.
Peter Gledhill Not For Profit Manager joined Merchant & Co in 1996 and specialises in audits and independent examinations for Not-for-Profit organisations.
Bijay Raj Dali Accounts and Tax Manager with years of experience of preparing company and partnership accounts, tax returns, VAT etc. Specialising in cloud-based accounting and transition for MTD. Bijay has been with us since 2016 and is an invaluable member of the Merchant & Co team.
Elfriede Valente has been working at Merchant & Co for over 15 years, specialising in payroll, VAT and not for profit organisations
Margaret Beveridge has worked in the practice for over 20 years, providing bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and CIS services and specialising in production accounting for media clients.
Krishan Patel Projects/ Integration and New Business graduated with a First Class Hons degree in Maths and Finance at City University. Worked at a Pensions Platform in the City in both operations and finance, before joining Merchant & Co. Specialises in projects, integrations and current issues faced by businesses in the digital age.
